Welcome
A very warm welcome to Sunnyhill Primary School, a school where we pride ourselves on our inclusive ethos and ambitious curriculum set in the context of a spacious, historic site. We are a Local Authority school which has served Streatham since 1901. As a community school, we say Learning Together, We Will All Be Exceptional! With our 5 core values, the vision and values drive our practice and our approach to education. We truly live our values:
Respect One Another
Every Individual Matters
Take Responsibility
Strive for Excellence
Try Your Best
Our curriculum reflects our locality and is enriched through educational visits to London and the south east as well as visitors into school. These support the taught curriculum and help bring it to life for the pupils. With a huge outdoor space, field and access to the Sunnyhill Nature Garden for forest school lessons, we ensure that our children are well supported with breadth as well as depth in the opportunities that they receive. We welcome parent/carer participation through regular events, both formal and informal for you to be part of your children’s learning.
We proudly hold the Primary Science Quality Mark in recognition of our commitment to STEM subjects and Artsmark Gold, reflecting our teaching of the arts. Our recent School of Sanctuary award and our work with the Anti-Bullying Alliance reflect our commitment to pupils’ safety and wellbeing and this can be seen every day through the wide range of pastoral support available at school. We pride ourselves on our strong relationships with parents/carers, working in partnership with you to ensure the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
We welcome you to visit for an informal tour which can be booked through the school office on info@sunnyhill.lambeth.sch.uk.
With warmest wishes,
Head Teacher
Sarah Wilson
